MED ’24 conference announced

Chania, Crete, GREECE

The 32nd Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED 2024) will take place from June 11 to 14, 2024, in Chania, Crete, Greece. The general chairs are Nikos Tsourveloudis and Elisa Capello, and the program chairs are Lefteris Doitsidis and Costas Tzafestas.

MED ’23 proceedings and report

Limassol, CYPRUS

The 31st Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED 2023) took place from June 26 to 29, 2023, in Limassol, Cyprus. The general chair was Christos Panayiotou, and the program chair was Vicenç Puig.

The report about the conference was published in the February 2024 issue of the IEEE Control Systems Magazine, and the conference proceedings are available through IEEE Xplore.

Vouliagmeni, Athens, GREECE

The 30th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED 2022) took place from June 28 to July 2, 2022, at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso resort, located on the Athenian Riviera. The general chairs were Kimon P. Valavanis and Maria Prandini, and the program chairs were Andrea Monteriù and Alessandro V. Papadopoulos. The report about the conference was published in the February 2023 issue of the IEEE Control Systems Magazine. The MED 2022 proceedings are available through IEEE Xplore.


MED ’21 proceedings and report

Virtual conference room at MED 2021

The 29th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED 2021) took place on the 22-25 of June 2021, as a fully virtual event, with the participation of all contributors via synchronous online videoconference. The general chair of the conference was Mariagrazia Dotoli, and the program chairs were Laura Giarrè and Elisa Franco. The report about the conference was published in the February 2022 issue of the IEEE Control Systems Magazine.

MED ’20 conference held as a -first ever- virtual conference in the MED conferences history

The 28th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED ’20) took place on September 16-18, 2020, as a completely virtual event.

Proposing and organizing a MED Conference – ‘How to’ Guide

The organization of a MED conference starts with submitting a preliminary proposal to the MCA Board. This step takes place at two to three years in advance. Prospective organizers are kindly referred to the document: “Notes and Recommendations on Proposing and Organizing a MED Conference.”

About MCA

The Mediterranean Control Association (MCA) is a non-profit organization registered in the Republic of Cyprus.

The MCA was formed in June 1998 with goals to promote initiatives for enhancing scientific exchanges, to disseminate information, to coordinate research networks, and to facilitate technology transfer primarily within the countries of the Mediterranean region. The main interests of the MCA are in the broad scientific areas of Systems, Control, and Automation.

Historically, the MCA presented some awards for exceptional contributions to the areas of systems, control and automation.
